Arsenal have reportedly been linked with a surprise move for Manchester City winger Raheem Sterling.
The England international has fallen down the pecking order with City this term after the arrival of Jack Grealish.`
He has started just two of the seven league games, and reports claim that he is already eyeing a fresh challenge elsewhere.
According to The Star, Gunners boss Mikel Arteta is interested in Sterling, and he has an excellent relationship with him.
Sterling could be available for around £50m with his contract expiring in 20 months’ time, but he is unlikely to take a pay cut.
It is claimed that the 26-year-old would demand at least £350,000-a-week in wages to join a new club in the near future.
Barcelona have also credited with an interest in him, but they are unlikely to afford the reported wage requirements.
Their wage bill is £250m over the La Liga salary cap. The club are not in a position to propose a permanent deal for him.
